Information about the Conciliation Board

In the event of disputes between customers and postal service providers, either party may contact the Conciliation Board (Ombud-PostCom). Contact details can be found at www.ombud-postcom.ch.

The Conciliation Board handles civil disputes between customers and service providers. It performs its conciliation duties independently, impartially, transparently, and efficiently. It is not subject to any general or specific instructions regarding dispute resolution.

A request for mediation is only admissible if:

  • the submitting party has previously attempted to reach an agreement with the other party to the dispute;
  • it is submitted under the conditions set out in the rules of procedure of the mediation body;
  • it is not manifestly abusive;
  • no court or arbitral tribunal is seized of the matter.
